From pre-market signals to the most buzzing stocks in trade, we bring you all top developments from D-Street to keep you updated throughout the day. After the tech selloff in US markets and fresh Israel-Iran geopolitical tensions, domestic benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty 50 opened sharply lower on Monday.
The 50-share NSE Nifty 50 benchmark fell 1.04% to 23,123 and the BSE Sensex shed 0.97% to 73,524.26, with both blue-chip indexes closing at two-month lows over tech selloff and renewed Middle-East geopolitical tensions. The broader small-caps and mid-caps declined about 1% each. The India VIX volatility index also jumped 8% tracking weak global cues.

"Domestic equities outperformed global peers despite ongoing consolidation, reflecting underlying structural resilience. Global sentiment has weakened amid a flare-up of tensions in the Middle East, pushing crude towards $100/bbl. Simultaneously, global technology stocks have witnessed a sell-off, as investors begin to question the sustainability of the AI-led rally,'' said Vinod Nair, Head of Research, Geojit Investments Ltd.
''Selling pressure was also seen in semiconductor-heavy indices, showing early signs of valuation fatigue and positioning unwind, although it is premature to classify this as a trend reversal. Strong US labour data and sticky inflation have increased the risk of further monetary tightening, driving higher bond yields and a stronger USD. A similar dynamic could play out domestically if inflation rises, increasing the likelihood of policy tightening, according to market analysts.
''India may see relative outperformance if the global tech correction deepens, but high crude prices and rate uncertainties may cap the upside,'' said Nair. Investors are wary due to expectations of a US interest rate hike after a stronger-than-expected May jobs report. The Reserve Bank of India, in its bi-monthly monetary policy review, unveiled steps to defend the rupee against dollar, as the economy grapples with costly oil and foreign capital outflow in the wake of the Iran war.

Stock Market Crash News Today Live Updates: Will Nifty 50 recover this week?
Stock Market Crash News Today Live Updates: HDFC Securities on Nifty 50 outlook
Commenting on Nifty's fundamental and technical outlook, Nagaraj Shetti, Senior Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities said, ''The market witnessed sharp fall on Monday on the back of rising geo-political tension between Iran-US-Isreal and the sharp weakness in global markets, Nifty closed the day lower by 243 points.''
After opening on a downside gap of 280 points, the market showed minor recovery amid range movement in the early-mid part of the session, according to the expert. Mid-market movements showed Nifty and Sensex outperformed Asian peers amid the tech rout.
''The selling pressure has emerged again in the later half and Nifty closed near the lows. A small green candle was formed on the daily chart with upper shadow. Technically, this market action indicates an attempt of breakdown of the important support of previous significant opening up gap of April 8 at 23,150. This is not a good sign,'' said Shetti.

Stock Market Crash News Today Live Updates: Rupee declines against US dollar at closing bell
- Rupee weakens 0.8% to Rs 95.71 per US dollar vs Rs 94.94 on Friday
- Rupee's trading range is seen between 95.25-96.25, as per analysts
Commenting on rupee's performance, Jateen Trivedi, VP Research Analyst - Commodity and Currency, LKP Securities said, "Rupee traded weaker by around 0.69% near 95.70, as renewed cross-border attacks between Israel and Iran escalated geopolitical tensions and pushed crude oil prices sharply higher. Brent crude surged more than 4%-5% towards the $97 zone, reviving concerns over India's import bill and inflation outlook.
The combination of rising crude prices, continued FII outflows, and risk-off sentiment in global markets kept pressure on the rupee despite RBI efforts to maintain orderly market conditions. With West Asia developments remaining the key driver, the rupee is expected to remain volatile in the near term. The trading range is seen between 95.25-96.25, with crude oil movements and geopolitical headlines likely to dictate the next move."

Stock Market Crash News Today Live Updates: Jefferies weighs in on Elon Musk's highly anticipated SpaceX IPO
Christopher Wood, global equity strategist at Jefferies, thinks the IPO might signal the absolute top of the AI-driven bull run. In his weekly Greed & fear note, Wood has pointed to the upcoming IPOs of SpaceX, Anthropic, and OpenAI as likely turning points for a market riding high on artificial intelligence optimism.
SpaceX is planning to sell 555.6 million shares at a fixed $135 each. This will raise $75 billion and value the company at $1.77 trillion. The actual free float is a mere 4.2% of the company, but for Nasdaq-100 index weighting calculations, it will be treated as having a 12.7% float. Wood noted this rule change is completely unprecedented.

Stock Market Crash News Today Live Updates: SoftBank Share Price Sinks 7%
Stock Market Crash News Today Live Updates: Asia tech stocks extend sell-off with SoftBank down over 7% as investors sour on AI-linked names
Asian tech stocks extended their sell-off Monday, as investors sour on global AI-linked plays with the US tech-heavy Nasdaq declining more than 4.5% last week. Memory chip behemoths and heavyweights on South Korea's Kospi Index Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix fell 5% and 2%, respectively.
Kospi plunged as much as 8% as the two companies make up over 40% of the index. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co, or TSMC, was down 2.1%, while Hon Hai Precision, also known as Foxconn, fell 5.1%. Japanese tech investor Softbank Group plunged 7.5%, while Tokyo Electron and Advantest were down 6.7% and 5%, respectively.
The share price declines follow a recent rally in Asia tech stocks that was supported by investor optimism on AI demand. Last month, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix each crossed a $1 trillion market valuation, while SoftBank recently became the most valuable company in Japan.
The sell-off in tech names was triggered after Broadcom's revenue for fiscal second quarter missed market estimates last week, plunging its shares and causing a cascading impact on the tech sector. Broader Asia markets were also lower Monday, as a fresh escalation in Iran war signals that the conflict is far from over.

Stock Market Crash News Today Live Updates: Nifty 50 trades below resistance zone
Stock Market Crash News Today Live Updates: From a technical perspective, the near-term bias remains cautious as long as the Nifty trades below 23,500–23,550 resistance zone. Immediate support is placed around 23,100, and a sustained breach below this level could trigger further weakness towards the 23,000–22,800 zone. However, despite the negative opening indications, any stability in global markets and easing in crude oil prices could help the index find support at lower levels,'' said Rajesh Palviya, Head of Research, Axis Direct.

Stock Market News Today Live Updates: D-Street experts highlight market headwinds
Stock Market News Today Live Updates: "There are strong headwinds for the market as trading begins for the week. The sharp cut of 4.18% in Nasdaq last Friday has rattled global markets with tech dominated South Korea and Taiwan facing big sell-off,'' said Dr. VK Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist, Geojit Investments Ltd.
The escalation of conflict in West Asia, with Iran firing missiles at Israel in retaliation to Israel's aggression in Lebanon, has hardened crude prices. Brent has moved above $96. The jobs data from the US is good, and therefore, the Fed will not cut rates as President Trump wants. The rates are likely to be on hold for some time,'' added Dr. VK Vijayakumar.

Stock Market News Today Live Updates: GIFT Nifty pared early losses to trade in green. However, D-Street experts still expect a gap down opening on Monday.
Aakash Shah, Technical Research Analyst, at Choice Broking said, ''The market setup indicates a weak opening amid adverse global cues and geopolitical concerns. Stock Market News Today Live Updates: Trade Setup for June 8
Stock Market News Today Live Updates: D-Street experts believe Nifty has remained largely range-bound in the past few sessions, reflecting a cautious undertone, a trend which will likely carry on. Accordingly, the immediate support for the index lies in the 23,230-23,200 zone going forward, whereas on the other hand the 23,530-23,550 zone will act as an immediate hurdle.
Chances are, if the index breaches below support zone, further downside to the 23,050 level will open up. However, as long as the index sustains above 23,250, a buy-on-dips strategy remains favourable, said analysts at SAMCO Securities. "A decisive move above 23,500 could attract fresh buying interest and trigger a recovery toward 23,700-23,850," they added.
