Nifty Realty was the top gainer, rising 3.96%, followed by Auto up 2.6% and Metal higher by 1.78%. Nifty Pharma fell 0.66%, the only sector in the red.

After improving margins and exiting loss-making contracts, Rishabh Instruments is targeting growth from data centres, power infrastructure and the U.S. market.

On Friday, the NSE Nifty 50 rose 1.99% to close at 23,622.90, up 461.30 points. The BSE Sensex climbed 2.30% to 75,527.95, gaining 1,695.40 points.

Data on open interest since the last expiry showed total Bank Nifty options open interest rose 90.04% to 1.32 million contracts.

Sectoral performance remained mixed, with pharma and banking stocks leading gains while defence and IT indices declined. Nifty Pharma rose 1.14%, while Nifty Defence fell 1.63%, while Nifty IT and PSU Bank declined around 1%.

Sectoral indices showed broad-based declines. Realty, Oil & Gas, PSU Bank and IT indices declined between 1.2% and 1.5%. FMCG rose 1.1%, while Financial Services edged up 0.32%.

All sectoral indices ended higher, except Nifty IT. Nifty PSU Bank was the top sectoral gainer, rising more than 3.5%.

On Friday, The Nifty 50 closed 49.85 points, or 0.21%, lower at 23,366.70. The Sensex ended 116.67 points, or 0.16%, down at 74,243.34.

Nifty India Defence rose 1.08%, followed by Nifty Energy at 0.6% and Nifty Auto at 0.54%. Nifty Realty gained 0.47%, while Nifty Pharma advanced 0.38%.

The NSE Nifty 50 down 77.95 points, or 0.33%, at 23,405.60. The BSE Sensex fell 303.67 points, or 0.41%, to 74,346.17.

Infosys recorded the sharpest build-up in positions. Open interest more than doubled even as the stock extended losses, showing traders continued to add exposure on the downside.

At the centre of the debate is India's margining framework, particularly the exposure margin charged in addition to the Standard Portfolio Analysis of Risk, or SPAN, margin.

The NSE Nifty 50 rose 0.43% to close at 23,483.55, while the BSE Sensex gained 0.52% to end at 74,649.84.

The Sensex fell as much as 0.68% to 74,267.34, nearly 1,000 points below the day's high of 75,357.93.

During Friday's session, the Nifty swung from a gain of 0.4% to a loss of as much as 1.8%, touching an intraday low of 23,484.75.

Nifty Oil and Gas fell 2.58%, leading sectoral losses, while Nifty Auto declined 2.29%. Nifty Consumption, Metal and Rural fell between 1.85% and 2.01%.

Nifty Metal rose 1.1% and Energy gained 0.58%, leading sectoral advances at close. Defence and FMCG indices also ended higher. Financial Services fell 0.65%, Realty declined 0.52% and PSU Bank dropped 0.46%, among the top laggards.

Nifty FMCG declined 0.16%, the only sector trading in the red. Nifty Pharma was largely flat, showing minimal movement during the session.
