The Union Cabinet has frozen Vodafone Idea's AGR dues at Rs 87,695 crore as of Dec. 31, and rescheduled the payment from FY32 to FY41.
The telecom department will reassess the frozen AGR dues based on Deduction Verification Guidelines and audit reports, with the outcome decided by a government-appointed committee.
Vodafone Idea will pay AGR dues for FY 2017-18 and FY 2018-19 (finalized by the Supreme Court in 2020) from FY 2025-26 to FY 2030-31 without changes.
Shares of Vodafone Idea has now slumped over 15%.
