Aditya Dhar is developing a new film after the success of the Dhurandhar franchise, with Ranveer Singh emerging as the leading choice for the project. Early talks between the actor and filmmaker have started, though no formal agreement has been signed.
The update has drawn attention as Dhar looks to follow two major box office successes with another large-scale release. The project is expected to begin by March 2027, according to a report by Pinkvilla.
A source quoted in the report said, "Aditya Dhar has cracked an idea and is currently working on it. He's excited about the concept and is developing it actively, with a plan to start the film by March 2027."

The new film comes after the strong run of Dhar's Dhurandhar titles at the global box office. The first film crossed Rs 1,000 crore worldwide, while Dhurandhar: The Revenge grossed about Rs 1,780 crore globally.

The report said the sequel moved ahead of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Pushpa: The Rule in worldwide collections. Only Dangal remains ahead in the rankings mentioned in the report.
Together, the two films have crossed Rs 3,000 crore worldwide, strengthening Dhar's standing as a filmmaker known for commercial hits.

Earlier reports had suggested Dhar was considering either a mythological film or a sports drama. It is still unclear whether the new project belongs to either category, as plot details remain undisclosed.
