Investors entered the US earnings season with lofty expectations, but some corporate results have fallen short of market expectations, according to Khoon Goh of ANZ Research. Speaking to NDTV Profit, Goh discussed the outlook for US corporate earnings, interest rates and cryptocurrencies. He said investors will look for greater durability in earnings growth going forward, while a December rate hike by the US Federal Reserve is already priced into markets. On cryptocurrencies, Goh said the Binance hack highlights the persistent risks of cyberattacks across the sector. He expects a gradual recovery in crypto markets but cautioned investors to remain mindful of cybersecurity risks.
