Two flying cars suffered a mid-air collision in China, according to reports. One of the vehicles caught on fire during landing. One person was injured in the crash, according to a CNN report, citing a company employee who remained anonymous.

The electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles were sold by Xpeng AeroHT and were taking part in rehearsals for the Changchun Air Show which was to commence on Sept. 19.

The two vehicles were undertaking a formation flying operation when they collided due to lack of space.

The vehicle that burst into flames sustained fuselage damage, according to company statements to CNN. Video footage showed a fire truck extinguishing the blaze.
