Ali Larijani Alive? Iran's Security Chief Posts Handwritten Note On X Amid Israel's Killing Claim

If the news of Ali Larijani's killing is confirmed, it would be the most high-profile killing in Israeli strikes since the February 28 killing of Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Amid Israel's claims of having killed Ali Larijani, Iran's security chief X account remains active with the latest tweet posted on Tuesday afternoon as he paid tributes to the martyrs of the Iranian Navy.

Israel's Defence Minister Israel Katz and IDC claimed that they have eliminated Larijani in airstrikes.

The tweet has a handwritten note, in Persian, attached along with the post, which speaks about the funeral ceremony for the “valiant martyrs of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Navy”

“Their memory will forever remain in the heart of the Iranian nation, and these martydoms will strengthen the foundation of the Islamic Republic's army for years to come,” Larijani writes in his X post.

He further writes, “I beseech the Almighty God for the highest ranks for these dear martyrs.”

At least 87 members of the Iranian Navy were killed after a US submarine destroyed their warship off the Southern coast of Sri Lanka on March 4. The bodies of the slain Navy personnel have since been handed over to Iran, which is now conducting a funeral ceremony for them.

Iran has not commented on the Israeli claims. The handwritten note posted on his X handle, however, is being seen as a rebuttal to the Israeli claims of killing Larijani.

If the news of Ali Larijani's killing is confirmed, it would be the most high-profile killing in Israeli strikes since the February 28 killing of Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Larijani was last seen leading protest demonstrations in Tehran on the Al-Quds Day on Friday.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military has also claimed to have killed the commander of the Basij unit, the internal security paramilitary militia of the IRGC, Gholamreza Soleimani.  Iran has not commented on this either.
