Innersloth, the studio behind Among Us, has revealed a new standalone game set in the same universe, along with a new trailer. Titled Among Us Story: On Guard, the game will be released on February 17, 2027.
Unlike the original Among Us, which is built around groups of players trying to find the Impostor among them, On Guard is a narrative adventure set in space. It puts players in the role of a Crewmate, offering a closer look at what life is like aboard the ship.

In On Guard, players take on the job of Guard, the Crewmate responsible for security across the entire ship. At first, everything seems to be under control. That changes when a murder takes place on board.
From there, the Guard has to clear their own name. Players will need to prove they are innocent before the Impostor strikes again, both at the rest of the crew and at the Guard themselves. Innersloth describes it as a dangerous adventure, suggesting the stakes will be high throughout.
Release Date and Wishlist
Among Us Story: On Guard is set to launch on February 17, 2027. Innersloth is encouraging players to add the game to their wishlist on Steam so they can be notified once it becomes available. The studio has not yet shared details about other platforms.

A Look Back at Among Us
Among Us was developed and published by Innersloth, an American game studio, and first launched in 2018. The online multiplayer title is a social deduction game, in which players work out who among them is secretly working against the group. It supports cross-platform play, allowing users on different devices to play together.
The game first arrived on iOS and Android in June 2018, followed by a Windows release in November that year. It later came to the Nintendo Switch in December 2020. In December 2021, Among Us was launched on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
With On Guard, Innersloth is taking the Among Us universe in a new direction, shifting the focus from group play to a story-led experience centred on a single Crewmate.
