Akshay Kumar's horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla is currently in its third weekend. On Sunday, the film recorded a sharp uptick in its gross nationwide collections.
Bhooth Bangla - Box Office Collection Day 17
As per early estimates from Sacnilk, Bhooth Bangla has collected Rs 4.16 crore across 4,098 shows, on Day 17. With this addition, the total India net collections of the film are currently valued at Rs 141.6 crore. Meanwhile, India's total gross collections are reported as Rs 167.64 crore.
Occupancy - Day 17
Bhooth Bangla recorded an overall occupancy of 33.86% on Day 16. The morning shows reported 13.42%, while the afternoon surged to 40.08%. The evening show witnssed an occupancy rate of 48.08%, as per Sacnilk.
Occupancy In Major Regions
On Day 17, Bhooth Bangla witnessed a reduced occupancy, especially in major markets. The National Capital Region, with 302 shows, recorded 30.3% occupancy. This was followed by Ahmedabad with 118 shows at 34.3%. Mumbai registered 100 shows at 46%, while Kolkata, with 93 shows, recorded an occupancy of 19.3%.
Box Office Journey So Far
Bhooth Bangla earned Rs 3.75 crore on Day 0 (paid previews). The film opened with a solid Rs 12.25 crore on Day 1. It registered a strong opening weekend, collecting Rs 19 crore on Saturday and Rs 23 crore on Sunday. However, the film witnessed a huge drop on the first Monday, earning just Rs 6.75 crore.
Amid moderate weekday collections, the film closed Week 1 with an impressive amount of Rs 84.40 crore.
The second weekend showed a quick start with Rs 10.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 12.50 crore on Sunday. However, the usual weekday decline with low occupancies continued, and the film added Rs 43.75 crore in Week 2.

Week 3 started with the third Friday, collecting Rs 4.50 crore, marking a positive jump from the previous day's collections. With the weekend underway, the film is expected to add significant numbers to its total collections.
