When Will Monsoon Arrive In Mumbai And Bengaluru? IMD Shares Key Update
The onset of monsoon could be expected in Mumbai and Bengaluru over the next three days, according to the IMD.

The Southwest Monsoon, which brings the season of rainfall over mainland India, has been progressing rapidly since its onset over Kerala on Saturday. As per an update shared by the India Meteorological Department on Sunday, the monsoon winds have progressed northwards and entered into Maharashtra.
The onset of Monsoon could be barely 72 hours away in Mumbai and Bengaluru -- two of the topmost metropolitan cities of the country. The rainfall laden winds could enter into the two cities over the next three days, according to the IMD.
The monsoon winds have "further advanced into parts of Karnataka, Goa, some parts of Maharashtra", and some more parts of Mizoram, Manipur and Nagaland, it said.
"Conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of central Arabian Sea, some more parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai, Karnataka including Bengaluru, some parts of Andhra Pradesh, remaining parts of Tamil Nadu, some more parts of westcentral & North Bay of Bengal and some more parts of Northeastern states during next 3 days," the weather department added.
In Maharashtra, the coastal Konkan and Mumbai have been witnessing heavy pre-monsoon rains over the last two days.
The southwest monsoon hit Kerala on Saturday, marking its earliest arrival over the Indian mainland since 2009 when it had reached the southern state on May 23.
Normally, the southwest monsoon marks its onset over Kerala by June 1 and covers the entire country by July 8. It starts retreating from northwest India around September 17 and withdraws completely by October 15.
It usually reaches Maharashtra around June 7 and Mumbai on June 11.
