Shares of Tata Steel Ltd., Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. JSW Energy Ltd., Tata Steel Ltd., Larsen & Toubro Ltd. will trade ex/record-date for their corporate actions this week.

L&T will record its shareholders' roster on Tuesday for its final dividend of Rs 34 for the financial year 2025.

Tata Motors and TCS will record their shareholders on Wednesday for a final dividend of Rs 6 and Rs 30, respectively.

Bank of Baroda, Tata Steel Ltd., HDFC Asset Management Co., JSW Energy and L&T Technology Services Ltd. will trade ex/record-dividend on Friday.

Coforge Ltd. will determine the entitlement of equity shareholders for a stock split on June 4. The ratio is two shares for every one held.

Besides, two infrastructure investment trusts (InvITs) Cube Highways Trust and National Highways Infra Trust will go ex-trade on Monday for their income distribution. Rules require InvITs to distribute at least 90% of their income to their unitholders as dividends on a bi-annual basis.

The record date determines the eligible shareholders who will receive the dividend payment, bonus shares or stock split. The ex-date, which mostly coincides with the record date, marks when the share price adjusts to reflect the corporate action.

Dividends are a way for companies to reward their shareholders.

Given India's T+1 settlement cycle, shares purchased on the record date will not be eligible for the dividend/bonus/stock split. Therefore, investors who own shares by the end of session ahead of the record date will be the beneficiaries.
