Actor Vicky Kaushal was full of praise for Riteish Deshmukh for his upcoming historical drama 'Raja Shivaji', calling the action sequences unprecedented in Marathi cinema.
Kaushal had essayed the role of the Maratha warrior's son, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, in the blockbuster 'Chhaava' which released in 2025.
According to a report in the Hindustan Times, Riteish recently invited Vicky to watch exclusive footage of the film.
With their roles as the Maratha warriors serving as a common bond, the interaction between the two actors has now gone viral.
Described as an "epic meet like never before", Vicky and Riteish were seen discussing the project.
Vicky Kaushal Lauds 'Raja Shivaji'
Jio Studios posted a video of the two Bollywood stars meeting ahead of the theatrical debut of 'Raja Shivaji'. The video opens with Riteish sharing a heartfelt moment from the sets of the film, revealing how the chants of 'Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Ki Jai' during shoots would leave him with goosebumps.
After watching the film's preview, Vicky Kaushal said, “I don't think Marathi cinema has seen an action sequence like this.”
He also extended his best wishes to the team ahead of the film's release, Moneycontrol reported.
