Akshay Kumar's Bhooth Bangla showed growth at the box office, while Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2 saw a sharp fall in screens and collections. The latest numbers highlight a shift in audience traction as one film gains pace and the other nears the end of its run.

The contrast comes as Bhooth Bangla has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark worldwide, while Dhurandhar 2 enters its seventh week with reduced presence in theatres.

The comparison reflects changing box office trends, with Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge slowing after an extended run and Bhooth Bangla benefiting from its third weekend.

Screens Vs Footfall

On Day 44, Dhurandhar 2 collected Rs 1.05 crore from 851 shows, marking an 8.7% drop from the previous day, according to Sacnilk. The film has seen a steep reduction in screen count, indicating a slowdown in demand.

On Day 15, Bhooth Bangla earned Rs 4.50 crore across 4,807 shows, recording a 28.6% increase from the previous day. The rise points to improved audience turnout as the film entered its third weekend.

Momentum Shift

The divergence in collections shows how theatrical momentum shifts over time. Dhurandhar 2, despite its long run, is seeing reduced screens and lower collections.

In contrast, Bhooth Bangla has maintained interest, supported by higher show counts and improving daily collections.

Weekend Edge

Dhurandhar 2 is likely to continue its downward trend as its theatrical run nears closure. The decline in screens suggests limited scope for recovery in collections.

Bhooth Bangla may sustain its run over the weekend, with growth in collections indicating continued audience traction in the near term.
