The National Testing Agency is set to launch the application correction portal for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 on February 27. Candidates looking to amend any discrepancies in their submitted applications can adjust via the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, until 11:50 pm February 28.

The modification option will be accessible to two groups of candidates: those who previously registered for Session 1 and applied for Session 2 and those who submitted applications solely for Session 2.

What Details Can Be Edited Both Session Examiners?

Students who registered for Session 1 from October 31 to November 27, 2025, and subsequently applied for Session 2 between February 1 and 25, 2026, can revise certain details in their applications.

Candidates will have the opportunity to adjust their selected paper (course), question paper medium, state eligibility code, preferred exam locations (from the available choices), academic records from Classes 10 and 12, gender, category, and identification proof information, if registration was completed using a document other than Aadhaar. Corrections related to fees will also be allowed where applicable.

A supplementary correction fee might be imposed based on the nature of the changes made.

Which Edits Can Be Done by Session 2 Examiners?

Individuals who registered solely for Session 2 during the February 1-25 period will encounter specific limitations. They are unable to modify essential contact details such as mobile number, email address, permanent or current residence, emergency contact details, or their photograph.

Nevertheless, they are permitted to revise their name or their parents' names, academic information, state eligibility code, date of birth, gender, category, sub-category, or PwD status (if it has not been validated through the UDID portal), signature, and selected paper. Changes in residence may also enable modifications of exam city and medium selections. Identification proof information can be modified only if Aadhaar was not previously utilized.

NTA will issue city notification slip after window closes

Once the correction window concludes, NTA will distribute the advance city notification slip, followed by Session 2 admit cards that include exam date, shift, and assigned center information. Candidates are urged to meticulously check all details and arrange their travel plans in advance, if necessary.
