Tata Motors Ltd. on Friday said it has launched its hatchback, the Tata Tiago, with a range of safety features, with prices starting at Rs 4.4 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The model now comes with dual airbags, antilock braking system, electronic brake distribution, corner stability control and rear parking sensors.
Apart from ABS, EBD and CSC, Tata Tiago also has overspeeding and seat belt alerts for both the driver and the front passenger. The Tiago range will also come equipped with seat belts with pretensioners and load limiters.
"With the Tiago range getting the standard safety upgrade, we remain committed in our vision of building safe vehicles for India," SN Barman, vice president of Tata Motors' passenger vehicle business (sales, marketing and customer support), said in a statement.
