RBI Approves Pradeep Natarajan's Appointment As IDFC First Bank's Whole-Time Director

Natarajan previously served as the bank's executive director.

The Reserve Bank of India approved the appointment of Pradeep Natarajan as the whole-time director of IDFC First Bank Ltd. on Thursday. The appointment comes into effect for a period of three years. The central bank informed the lender of its approval via a letter dated May 16, an exchange filing said.

Natarajan served as the bank's executive director prior to this position.

The development comes after IDFC First Bank, on Dec. 30, submitted its request to the RBI for Natarajan's appointment as the whole-time director. He has been in a leadership position with the bank since December 2018.

Before assuming the current position, Natarajan served as head of retail banking at the lender. His expertise spans business development, technology, risk analytics, debt management and customer service and marketing.

Prior to IDFC First Bank, Natarajan has worked with Standard Chartered Bank, Religare Macquarie Wealth Management, Dell India and Capital First Ltd. in various capacities.

At Capital First, he was the president of consumption finance, marketing and digital initiatives for the company.
