The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has issued a wanted notice against an Indian national, Kalpeshkumar Rasikbhai Patel, alias Kenny Patel, who duped and defrauded multiple victims between 2017 and 2021. In an official circular, the FBI said Kalpeshkumar Rasikbhai Patel is believed to be residing in or travelling within the Illinois-Pennsylvania corridor.
What Are The Charges Against Patel?
According to the FBI official statement, Patel is on the wanted list of the nation for cheating multiple victims. As per the victims, Patel reportedly first called them to lure them; then after gaining their confidence, he transmitted huge sums of money, usually in the form of cash and prepaid debit cards. The accused targeted victims across the US between 2017 and 2021.

The FBI stated, "Victims were contacted via telephones and deceived into believing their personal information or identities were associated with criminal activities."
“Many victims were convinced to send funds, usually in the form of cash and prepaid debit cards, to addresses throughout the United States," it said.
An arrest warrant was also issued by the FBI while urging residents to contact their local office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate to inform them about Patel.

“Patel is considered a fugitive from justice, and any information regarding his whereabouts should be treated as significant and actionable," the statement further said.
Who Is Kalpeshkumar Rasikbhai Patel?
An Indian national, the 33-year-old Kalpeshkumar Rasikbhai Patel, also known as “Mecco”, “Kenny”, was born on May 17, 1991, in India, according to the FBI. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs around 185 pounds. He worked at a fuel station as a cashier and store worker.
After committing forgery and duping American citizens, he is now wanted in the United States for a mail and wire fraud conspiracy. A federal arrest warrant has been issued for Kalpeshkumar Rasikbhai Patel by the US District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. Following an indictment in London, KY, Patel faces charges of conspiracy to commit both mail and wire fraud.
