Skullcandy To Launch Method 360 ANC Earbuds Tuned By Bose: Check Price, Specs
Skullcandy hasn’t followed the typical playbook with the Method 360 ANC’s design.
Skullcandy is launching its latest wireless earbuds, the Method 360 ANC, marking an upgrade in its audio lineup through a new collaboration with Bose. The audio brand has teamed up with the premium sound giant to deliver its most comfortable and best-sounding earbuds to date. The earbuds are launching at an introductory price of $99.99 (around Rs 8,570) before eventually rising to $129.99 (around Rs 11,140).
The Method 360 ANC earbuds are designed to blend affordability with high-quality performance — and Bose’s involvement plays a central role in that.
This is its “most advanced audio experience to date,” Skullcandy said in a statement, referencing Bose’s contribution to both the tuning and technology behind the product.
The earbuds will come in three sizes of ear gels and fit fins, aimed at maximising comfort and passive noise isolation — a nod to Bose’s reputation for ergonomic design. While these won’t rival the elite-level noise cancellation found in Bose’s QuietComfort Ultra series, they would bring a solid ANC experience to a more budget-friendly audience, reported the Verge. With a price gap of nearly $200 (around Rs 17,130) between the two, that’s a trade-off many might welcome.
Skullcandy hasn’t followed the typical playbook with the Method 360 ANC’s design either. Instead of the usual clamshell-style charging case, the company has gone with a sliding design similar to its Dime Evo model. This case includes an O-ring attachment for clipping onto bags or belts — a practical touch for users on the go. It’s not the most compact, but it extends battery life significantly, up to 40 hours in total without ANC, and up to 32 hours with it enabled. The earbuds themselves last 11 hours (nine hours with ANC).
The Method 360 ANC will also come with a host of premium features, such as a four-microphone hybrid ANC system, a Stay-Aware mode to let in ambient sounds when needed and a low latency mode aimed at gamers and streamers.
Wear detection tech automatically pauses playback when the buds are removed and resumes it upon re-insertion. The earbuds also support multipoint pairing, making it easier to switch between devices, according to the Verge report.
Durability hasn’t been overlooked either. With an IPX4 rating, the earbuds are resistant to sweat and light splashes. Spotify Tap, Google Fast Pair and Skullcandy’s Skull-iQ app compatibility provide added versatility. The app allows users to customise shortcuts and tweak EQ settings to suit their listening preferences.
The Method 360 ANC will be available in five colour variants — black, bone, primer, plasma, and leopard.
