Samsung M36 5G Likely To Be Priced Below Rs 20,000: Report

Samsung has confirmed the launch of the Galaxy M36 5G in India. While the official launch date has not been revealed yet, the smartphone is expected to be available in late June or early July. 

The phone has been teased on Amazon. According to various media reports, Galaxy M36 5G is expected to be priced below Rs 20,000. Its predecessor, the M35 5G, comes at a starting price of Rs 19,999.

As per Gadgets 360, the phone was previously spotted on Geekbench with model number SM-M366B. The listing showed that an Exynos 1380 SoC powered the Galaxy M36 5G. It runs on Android 15-based with One UI 7.

According to the benchmark results, it scored 1,004 in the single-core test and 2,886 in the multi-core test. This indicates a good performance for a mid-range phone. 

It is expected to come with at least 6 GB of RAM and an ARM Mali G68 GPU. The teaser for the gadget emphasises its AI capabilities. The teaser shows the phone with a triple-camera system arranged vertically. 

Gadgets 360 notes that since the Galaxy M35 had features similar to the Galaxy A35 5G, the Galaxy M36 5G could have specifications similar to those of the Galaxy A36 5G.

However, the Galaxy A36 5G runs on a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC. It comes with a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It has a 50 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 5 MP macro camera. On the front, it features a 12 MP camera. It has a 5,000 mAh battery with 45 W wired charging support.

Mashable India notes that though the M36 uses the same chipset used in the M35, it should offer better AI performance. The report adds that the Galaxy F36 5G may be launched with or shortly after the M36.
