Redmi has announced the India launch date for the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G, a special edition of the Note 15 series. The “SE” edition follows the release of the regular Redmi Note 15 5G in India earlier this year in January. A microsite is now live on Flipkart, confirming the phone's availability on the e-commerce platform. Redmi has also released a teaser that offers a glimpse of the phone's rear panel and camera setup, along with at least one colour that it will be available in.

Redmi has confirmed that the Note 15 SE 5G will debut in India on April 2. The phone will be available via Flipkart, where a dedicated microsite is in place.
The teased design shows the device in a vibrant red shade with a gold-coloured frame and the Redmi branding centred on the lower part of the back panel. It appears to be a rebranded version of the China-exclusive New Year Cherry Red Edition of the Redmi Note 15 5G.
While the camera island itself stays hidden in the teaser, its impressions show the same squircle-shaped rear camera module as the standard model with a dual lens set. An LED flash is further expected.
The standard Redmi Note 15 5G comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It features a 6.77-inch Amoled display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3,200 nits, a 108MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide, and a 5,520mAh battery.
