Google has launched Lyria 3.5, the latest version of its AI-powered music generation model, introducing upgrades aimed at improving song quality and giving creators greater control over the music creation process.
The company said the model is rolling out in Google Flow Music and features advancements across musicality, lyric generation, vocal quality and creative controls.
"We're launching Lyria 3.5 in Google Flow Music, with advances across musicality, lyrics, vocals, and creative control," Google said in a statement on Wednesday.

According to the company, the updated model is designed to produce richer and more natural-sounding melodies, while generating higher-quality lyrics with better adherence to user prompts and improved song structure.
Google also said Lyria 3.5 delivers more expressive and emotionally nuanced vocals, alongside better pronunciation to make AI-generated songs sound more realistic.
The latest release adds enhanced creative controls, allowing users to more easily adjust the tempo and duration of generated tracks.
"Our newest music generation model, Lyria 3.5, delivers significant advancements across musicality, lyrics and vocal quality, empowering you to craft richer tracks," the company said, adding that the update is intended to help users create songs with greater creative control.
The rollout marks Google's latest push to expand its suite of generative AI tools for creators, as competition in AI-powered music generation continues to intensify.
