AI Impact Summit 2026 Day 4: India's AI Future Is Not Only Powered But Secured, Says Jeet Adani

Jeet Adani recalled Adani group's previous announcement of investing $100 billion to build a sovereign, green-energy-powered AI infrastructure platform and said the data centre expansion will trigger a 5-gigawatt, $250 billion integrated energy-and-compute ecosystem engineered to anchor India's Intelligence Revolution.

"By integrating renewable energy, grid resilience, and hyperscale compute into a unified architecture, this commitment ensures that India's AI future is not only powered but secured, sovereign, and built at a national scale," Adani concluded his address.

AI Impact Summit 2026 Day 4: AI Must Become Force Multiplier For Indian Citizens, Says Jeet Adani

On the pillar - services sovereignty for retaining India's AI dividend, Jeet Adani said India's IT revolution made it a global digital services powerhouse. But much of the productivity dividend accrued elsewhere. The AI revolution gives India a once-in-a-century opportunity to change that equation.

AI must become a force multiplier for Indian citizens before it becomes a margin multiplier for others, he said. "This is not protectionism. This is preparedness. This is not isolation. This is strategic maturity."

AI Impact Summit 2026 Day 4: India Must Build Data Centre Ecosystems At Scale, Says Jeet Adani

On India's renewable expansion - solar, wind, storage, Adani said it is no longer just climate policy. It is strategic infrastructure policy. Renewable clusters will co-locate with AI data centres, and industrial corridors will integrate energy and compute planning.

On compute and cloud sovereignty, he said if energy is the fuel, compute is the factory. In earlier centuries, nations built steel plants and shipyards. In the digital age, nations invested in semiconductor ecosystems. In the AI age, sovereign compute capacity becomes strategic infrastructure.

"It matters where compute resides, under whose jurisdiction it operates, (and) who controls access," he said. "Cloud sovereignty does not mean isolation. It means autonomy. It means India must host critical AI workloads domestically. It means we build data centre ecosystems at scale. It means domestic access to high-performance compute for our startups, academia, defence, healthcare, and manufacturing," remarked Jeet Adani.

AI Impact Summit 2026 Day 4: Jeet Adani Defines Pillars For India's AI Century

Jeet Adani's speech focused on three defining pillars for India's AI century:

1. Energy sovereignty
2. Compute & cloud sovereignty
3. Services sovereignty

Adani said AI performance depends on energy security, warning, "Under peak load, advanced processors generate extraordinary heat. Systems throttle when power falters. Performance drops. This is not just an engineering detail. It is a strategic truth. If a nation's energy systems are fragile, its intelligence systems are fragile."

AI Impact Summit 2026 Day 4: AI Should Serve Indian Citizens, Says Jeet Adani

India must also secure sovereignty across energy, compute and cloud, and services to safeguard its AI future, Jeet Adani said, speaking at India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi.

"AI is written in code. But it runs on electricity... energy security is intelligence security. And sustainable energy becomes a competitive advantage," he said, outlining plans to integrate renewable energy clusters with AI data centres and industrial corridors.

On computing infrastructure, he added, "Cloud sovereignty does not mean isolation. It means autonomy... India must host critical AI workloads domestically... domestic access to high-performance compute for our startups, academia, defence, healthcare, and manufacturing."

Adani stressed that AI should first serve Indian citizens, boosting agriculture, education, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, and financial inclusion.

AI Impact Summit 2026 Day 4: AI Will Redefine Sovereignty, Says Jeet Adani

India must architect its own artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure rather than rely on imports, Adani Group executive director Jeet Adani said, stating that AI will redefine national sovereignty.

"India does not rise to dominate, she rises to stablises, to anchor a world searching for balance, build systems that are inclusive and enduring. When India builds tech, she does not build for exclusion and control, she builds for inclusion," remarked Adani

AI Impact Summit 2026 Day 4: AI Will Be Bad For Some Companies, Says Sam Altman

Artificial Intelligence will reset the nature of software industry, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said, adding that while for some companies it will be bad, a lot of others will be able to benefit as they have a different value proposition.

Altman told reporters that a lot of things will change for tech companies with AI making coding easier and faster.

"...but people overreact with positive and negative...So it is totally true that software is now far easier to create than ever before, and I'm sure that will be quite bad for some software companies, but I think a lot of software companies have a value proposition that is quite different," he said.

AI Impact Summit 2026 Day 4: India's Advantage Will Be Defined By Choices It Makes, Says Rishad Premji

India has the opportunity to become one of the world's most consequential environments for AI application but the country's advantage will be defined by the choices it makes regarding where to apply, diffuse and responsibly deploy the new wave of technology to translate capability into real impact, Wipro Ltd Executive Chairman, Rishad Premji said on Thursday.

Stating that the conversation on AI has fundamentally shifted from possibility to practicality, from experimentation to adoption, and from pilots to scale impact, he said this shift matters tremendously, because technology creates value only when it is applied to solve real-world problems, responsibly and at scale.

India's advantage will come from developing talent at scale, not just people trained on AI, but people who can apply it with context, judgement and an ability to adapt to change, he added.

AI Impact Summit 2026 Day 4: India Can Lead New Human Revolution By AI, Says Vishal Sikka

India can lead a new human revolution powered by purposeful and responsible AI (artificial intelligence) that empowers "a billion entrepreneurs" not just to earn a living, but to create meaningful lives, Vianai founder and CEO Vishal Sikka said on Thursday.

Speaking at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, Sikka, former CEO of IT giant Infosys, highlighted astonishing productivity gains from AI, its limitations and responsible usage.

He said that AI represents a historic opportunity, and India has previously transformed connectivity and food security within a generation.

"To build the next generation of it (AI)... We can be on our way to a human revolution. Powered by AI, good AI, purposeful AI-- where every one of us-- a billion entrepreneurs-- is not just making a living, but is making a life -- not some artificial life or some artificial general life, but our own life and the life of others, and that would be so much fun to do," Sikka said.

AI Impact Summit 2026 Day 4: Not Even A Cancer Cure Justifies Totalitarianism, Says Altman

Speaking at the AI Impact Summit OpenAI CEO Sam Altman warns against trading freedom for a cancer cure. Stating that some people want effective totalitarianism in exchange for cancer cure, he said, "(I) don't think we should accept that trade off." On India's progress on AI, he said, "It's incredible to see the country's leadership in advanced AI. I was last here a little over a year ago, and it's striking how much progress has happened since then."

By 2028-end, more of the world's intellectual capacity could reside inside of data centres than outside of them, Altman added.

AI Impact Summit 2026 Day 4: India Sees Fortune And Future In AI, Says PM Modi

Modi said there are two kinds of people in the world today- those who see fear in AI and those who see fortune in AI. "I proudly and responsibly say that we do not see fear. India sees fortune in AI, India sees a future in AI. In AI, India sees opportunity and the blueprint of tomorrow," he asserted.

He said the expo is taking place in India, which represents one sixth of humanity, and a country with the world's largest young population and a hub of the largest tech talent pool.

"Artificial intelligence marks a transformative chapter in human history. India is not just a part of the AI revolution, but is leading and shaping it," he said.
