FPIs Remain Net Sellers Of Indian Equities For Fourth Straight Day
Domestic institutional investors stayed net buyers and acquired equities worth Rs 1,333.1 crore.

Foreign portfolio investors remained net sellers of Indian equities for a fourth consecutive day on Thursday, Overseas investors net sold shares worth Rs 1,481.2 crore, according to the provisional data from the National Stock Exchange.
Domestic institutional investors stayed net buyers and acquired equities worth Rs 1,333.1 crore, the data showed. This was their second session of buying.
The FPIs have mopped up shares worth Rs 1,188 crore in July so far and Rs 14,590 crore in the previous month, as per NSDL data. In 2025 so far, the FPIs have net sold equities worth Rs 76,713 crore.
The Indian benchmark equity indices erased the intraday gains to close lower for the second consecutive day on Thursday, dragged by share prices of Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. and Bharti Airtel Ltd.
The NSE Nifty 50 ended 48.1 points or 0.19% lower at 25,405.30, while the BSE Sensex closed 170.22 points or 0.2% down at 83,239.47. During the day, Nifty fell 0.27% to trade at 25,384.35 and Sensex declined 0.27% to 83,186.74.
