Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji, has entered its second day at the box office after registering a strong opening on Day 1. The Tamil action drama is now looking to capitalise on the weekend to further boost its overall collections.
Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 2
As per early estimates from Sacnilk, on Day 2, the film has collected Rs 13.48 crore across 4,607 shows so far. With the figures still coming in, the total India gross collections are now valued at Rs 33.84 crore, and the total India net at Rs 28.98 crore so far.
By the end of Day 1, the film grossed Rs 7.00 crore from the overseas market, pushing its total worldwide gross collection to Rs 24.93 crore.

Language-Wise Breakdown
- Tamil: With Tamil being the primary driving force for the film, it collected Rs 11.44 crore from 3,359 shows. The occupancy stood strong at 55%.
- Telugu: The Telugu version collected Rs 2.04 crore from 1,248 shows and reported an occupancy of 30%.
Day 2 Occupancy
- Tamil: The film recorded an overall occupancy of 54.92% so far. The morning shows reported 43.69%, while the afternoon shows surged to a solid 66.15%. With the evening and night shows yet to begin, they are expected to record even higher occupancy rates.
- Telugu: The overall occupancy so far stands at 31%. While the morning shows recorded 21.8%, the afternoons rose to 40.2%.
Region-Wise Breakdown
- Tamil: Chennai led the way with 567 shows at a strong 79.5% occupancy. Coimbatore saw 201 shows at 65.5%, Trichy recorded 73.5% occupancy across 44 shows, while Bengaluru registered a moderate 46% across 432 shows. Several other regions also maintained over 50% occupancy.
- Telugu: Hyderabad led with 274 shows at 38% occupancy, followed by Vizag-Visakhapatnam (88 shows, 37%) and Vijayawada (73 shows, 24.5%). Most other centres recorded below 45% occupancy.

Box Office Performance
The film opened with strong figures of Rs 15.5 crore net on Day 1. Driven by a strong performance in Tamil Nadu, the Tamil version raked in Rs 13.1 crore on Day 1, with a solid occupancy of 54%. With positive word-of-mouth along with Suriya's massive star power, the film is expected to soar higher on its opening weekend.
