The IMD stated that the weather system is expected to bring continued spells of rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds across the region during the day.

According to HT, heavy rain triggered severe traffic snarls at several locations, including Narsinghpur, Manesar and Bilaspur on the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway.

Waterlogging was reported at several low-lying areas of Delhi, with reports of slowing vehicular movement affecting office-goers during the morning rush hour.

The IMD advised residents to remain indoors where possible, avoid waterlogged areas and exercise caution during thunderstorms and periods of intense rainfall.
