Godrej Industries Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Haryana government to invest approximately Rs 20,000 crore in the state, with the proposed investments expected to create around 40,000 jobs.

The group announced the investment plan in a stock exchange filing dated Aug. 24, 2026. The proposed investments will build on its existing presence in Haryana, spanning residential development, commercial infrastructure and other businesses.

Godrej Industries Group said it has already invested around Rs 12,000 crore in Haryana and employs nearly 9,000 people across its businesses in the state.

Godrej Properties To Invest Rs 16,000 Crore

Godrej Properties will account for the largest share of the planned investment.

The real estate company has already invested around Rs 11,000 crore in Haryana. It plans to invest another Rs 16,000 crore by FY28.

Godrej Properties currently has 18 projects across Gurugram, Sonipat, Faridabad, Panipat and Kurukshetra.

The company's future projects are expected to create more than 11,000 jobs.

Rs 3,500 Crore Planned for Gurugram Offices

Godrej Ventures, the group's real estate private equity business, plans to invest an additional Rs 3,500 crore in Grade A+ office infrastructure in Gurugram.

The proposed development is expected to generate more than 30,000 direct and indirect jobs.

The group said the investment will strengthen Gurugram's commercial ecosystem and support its attractiveness to multinational companies and global capability centres.

Godrej Expands Presence Beyond Real Estate

The group's presence in Haryana extends beyond property development.

Godrej Capital operates five branches in the state and has facilitated around Rs 550 crore in bookings through its financing business.

Godrej Consumer Products has 42 direct distributors and more than 250 rural stockists across Haryana.

The group also contributes to local development through its corporate social responsibility and infrastructure initiatives.

It spends around Rs 1 crore annually on CSR activities in Haryana and more than Rs 10 crore on infrastructure-level initiatives.

Group Sees Long-term Potential in Haryana

Pirojsha Godrej, Chairperson of Godrej Industries Group, said Haryana has emerged as an important growth driver for the group, citing the depth of its economy, rapid urbanisation and Gurugram's emergence as a major commercial and employment hub.

The group said the new investment commitment reflects its confidence in Haryana's long-term economic potential and opportunities across residential and commercial development.

Rakesh Swami, Group Head and President, Corporate Affairs, said the MoU reinforces the group's confidence in Haryana as a long-term investment destination, with opportunities spanning residential and commercial development, infrastructure and services.

The proposed investments are expected to deepen the group's presence in the state while supporting its development priorities.

Godrej Industries Group said it will continue working with the Haryana government to enable further investments across its businesses.
