Billionaire Gautam Adani met with Hiroshi Suzuki, ambassador of Japan, on Wednesday. The ambassador visited the Mundra Port and Hybrid Renewable Energy Park at Khavda.
"Had a very engaging discussion with Amb Hiroshi Suzuki of Japan. We are grateful for his visit to our Mundra Port and to Khavda, where we are building the world's largest Hybrid Renewable Energy Park of 30 GW capacity," the chairman of the Adani Group said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
The ambassador's appreciation for India's culture and his support for India was "truly inspiring", he said.

May 29, 2024The company has commissioned 2 GW of capacity at Khavda and has plans to add an additional 4 GW this financial year. The conglomerate is also planning to add 5 GW capacity every year thereafter.
Mundra Port, the flagship of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, recently created a new record after it docked MSC Anna—the largest container ship to dock in India. During the stay, the vessel exchanged 12,500 TEUs (20-foot equivalent unit), showcasing the port's capability to manage large-scale cargo.
Suzuki, known for his love for Indian food and culture, had served as the executive secretary of Shinzo Abe, the former Prime Minister of Japan.
