Hind Rectifiers Ltd. has secured a Rs 60-crore order to supply complete propulsion systems for four Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) trainsets, marking its transition from a component manufacturer to an integrated railway systems provider. Speaking to NDTV Profit, Chairman, Managing Director & CEO Suramya Nevatia said the company has also received orders linked to the Vande Metro programme and won its maiden US contract to supply IGBT converters for the mining industry, expanding its presence in both domestic railways and overseas markets.
