US President Donald Trumps claimed in a Truth Social post that the US is clearing mines from the Strait of Hormuz amid tri-lateral talks ongoing in Islamabad.

A senior Iranian source told news agency Reuters on Saturday that US had agreed to release Iranian frozen assets that were held in Qatar and other foreign banks, welcoming the move as a sign of "seriousness" in reaching a deal with Washington in talks in Islamabad.
Washington has not made any public comments on the issue of unfreezing assets.
The Iranian delegation, led by parliament speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and accompanied by foreign minister Abbas Araghchi, has held talks with Pakistani prime minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has said that shelters for displaced people in Lebanon are severely overcrowded, with nearly half of the country’s public schools now functioning as reception centres.

According to recent reports, Lebanon has announced that the United States has been appointed to mediate ceasefire talks with Israel. Lebanese officials have agreed to attend a meeting this coming Tuesday to discuss the potential ceasefire.
Iran’s Tasnim news agency is reported that there are 71 people in Tehran’s delegation to Islamabad, including the main negotiating delegation, expert advisers, media representatives, as well as diplomatic and security teams.
The negotiating team is being led by Iran’s parliamentary speaker Ghalibaf.
