Good Friday, which comes before Easter Sunday, will be observed on April 3 this year. The day is dedicated to marking the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, with Christians believing he rose again three days later.

History Of Easter

The foundations of Easter can be traced to the earliest days of Christianity, when believers commemorated the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is said to have appeared to his disciples and many others, symbolising victory over death.

Significance Of Easter

Easter captures the essence of the Christian faith, highlighting what believers see as God's greatest demonstration of power and love in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The occasion affirms Jesus as the Son of God while emphasising the deeper meaning of his message and sacrifice. The resurrection is widely regarded as the realisation of prophecy, symbolising triumph over death and inspiring hope of life beyond it.
