The National Testing Agency has released the preliminary exam city notification slip for candidates enrolled for NEET UG 2026. This was communicated through an official public announcement, notifying applicants about the city where their exam centres will be situated.

Candidates can now retrieve the slip by signing in with their application number and date of birth. The agency emphasised that this document serves solely to inform candidates in advance of their assigned exam city and is not the official admit card.

The National Testing Agency has stressed that the notification slip for the exam city should not be considered as the admit card. Its purpose is to assist candidates in planning their travel and logistical arrangements prior to the exam date.

NEET UG 2026: Admit Cards

The NEET 2026 admission ticket will be issued by late April 2026. This ticket includes the title of the examination venue, its location, and crucial guidelines. Access to the NEET exam venue in 2026 will only be permitted with the admission ticket and a legitimate photo identification.

NEET UG 2026 Exam dates

NEET UG 2026 will take place across 552 cities in India and 14 cities overseas. The examination is set to be conducted on May 3, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. It will be conducted in an offline pen-and-paper format.

The exam is organised for admission to undergraduate medical programmes and is managed by the National Testing Agency under the supervision of the National Medical Commission.

NEET UG 2026 Exam Pattern

The NEET 2026 exam pattern is designed around four subjects: physics, chemistry, botany, and zoology. Each subject carries 45 questions and 180 marks, taking the total to 180 questions and 720 marks in the final paper.

With every correct answer worth 4 marks and each wrong answer attracting a 1-mark penalty, accuracy will matter as much as speed in determining the final score.
