About Border 2
Border 2 is directed by Anurag Singh and produced by T-Series and J.P. Films. The film stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana and Mona Singh in key roles.
Unlike the original, Border 2 takes a broader approach and uses the 1971 India-Pakistan war as its backdrop. The Navy, Air Force and Army unite in battle this time, making the film more of a retelling of military combat.
The film's box office success has impressed both analysts and audiences. Following Dhurandhar's strong run last month, Border 2's performance has renewed hope for Hindi cinema amid generally low box office footfall recorded since the Covid-19 pandemic. Film critic Taran Adarsh noted that the movie is being particularly appreciated in tier-2 and tier-3 markets.
IT'S A TSUNAMI – 'BORDER 2' RUNS RIOT AT THE BOXOFFICE... Last month, #Dhurandhar and now, #Border2 has brought joy, hope, confidence and optimism back in #Bollywood... The Sunday numbers are nothing short of SENSATIONAL.

“Urban centres are performing exceptionally well, but it's the mass pockets that are in a league of their own... In fact, the Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets are outstanding, with housefull boards making a strong comeback across circuits,” he said in an X post on Monday.
