Apple's newly launched Upgrade leasing programme is seen as a way to offset rising component costs without a jarring sticker-price hike. Break a $100 increase down into monthly instalments over two years, and it works out to just a few dollars extra each month, a much easier pill for buyers to swallow than a one-time jump.

iPhone Ultra's Camera Question

Ahead of the iPhone Fold's launch, questions are swirling around whether its camera setup, a wide and ultrawide lens without a telephoto, can justify a price expected to run up to $500 more than Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold8. If Apple carries over its Pro Max-level camera performance, particularly its video strength, that could be a meaningful edge over Samsung's hardware.

A Critical iOS Security Fix

Apple pushed out iOS 26.6.1, addressing dozens of bugs across the system, with the bulk of them centred on WebKit, the engine behind Safari.
