Apple iPhone SE 4 Launched As iPhone 16e; Check Design, Display, Camera, Features, Price In India

The powerful new Apple iPhone 16e has arrived, in possibly the most eagerly anticipated launches of early 2025.

The iPhone 16e, the “newest member of the family”—as CEO Tim Cook had described it just days before on X—was launched in a press note by Apple. The phone, which was earlier being called iPhone SE 4 but with expectations of branding change to align with the iPhone 16 series, is one of the most affordable iPhone boasting Apple Intelligence, Apple’s AI suite.

Here’s a look at the iPhone 16e features, specs, display, camera, price in India, and more.

iPhone 16e Chipset: The phone is powered by the most recent 3nm A18 Bionic chip (the same used in iPhone 16), making it one of the fastest and most powerful phones in its class.

iPhone 16e Design And Display: The 2025 iPhone SE sheds its five-year-old design, with a new 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with OLED technology with an edge-to-edge look.

iPhone 16e Camera: The iPhone 16e has a 48MP Fusion camera with an integrated 2x Telephoto; front-facing TrueDepth camera; features Night mode, Portrait mode, latest generation of HDR; 4K recording with Dolby Vision up to 60 fps; records video in Spatial Audio.

iPhone 16e Battery: The battery lasts up to six hours longer than iPhone 11 and up to 12 hours longer than all generations of iPhone SE. It comes with wireless charging and USB-C support. 

iPhone 16e Operating System: iOS 18.

iPhone 16e 5G Modem: The phone has the new Apple C1, the first cellular modem designed by Apple. 

iPhone 16e 5G RAM/Storage: The iPhone 16e will be available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage capacities.

iPhone 16e Apple Intelligence: The iPhone 16e packs Apple Intelligence features such as Writing Tools in Notes, Mail, Pages, and third-party apps, AI-powered Photos app with Clean Up, Memories and natural language search capabilities, Image Playground for generating creative photographs, Genmoji for fun interaction, Image Wand in Notes, visual intelligence, all-new Siri with typing along with voice commands and richer language understanding, Smart Reply to quickly create an email or message with AI-generated responses, and more.

Satellite Features: The phone includes Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Messages, and Find My via satellite.

iPhone 16e Colours: The iPhone 16e will be available in two matte finishes, black and white, with colourful cases available to accessorise. iPhone 16e silicone case is available in five colours for Rs 3,900: winter blue, fuchsia, lake green, black, and white.

iPhone 16e Safety And Durability: The phone has splash, water, and dust resistance with a rating of IP68, Ceramic Shield front cover, and toughened back glass.

iPhone 16e Pricing: The iPhone 16e price starts at Rs 59,900.

iPhone 16e Pre-Orders: iPhone 16e pre-orders begin Friday, Feb. 21, with availability beginning Friday, Feb. 28.
