The 9th season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League is set to begin from June 5, bringing a new level of excitement to cricket fans once the Indian Premier League is over. Since 2016, the tournament has been a big draw for cricket fans in Tamil Nadu.
The first edition of TNPL saw the Tuti Patriots emerge as the champions. Last year, the Dindigul Dragons finally managed to win the coveted trophy. In the latest edition, the Dragons will be looking to continue their winning momentum from last year.
On the other hand, the Lyca Kovai Kings would want to start the season on a winning note after last year’s defeat in the final. In the new season, the Kings will clash against the defending champions in the inaugural match.
The 9th edition of TNPL 2025 will be played across these four venues:
SNR College Cricket Ground, Coimbatore

Indian Cement Company Ground, Tirunelveli
NPR College Ground, Dindigul
The qualifiers, eliminator and final of TNPL 2025 will be held at the NPR College Ground in Dindigul. The tournament will begin on Thursday, June 5 and end on Sunday, July 6.

Tamil Nadu Premier League 2025 Format
A total of 32 matches will be played in the TNPL 2025 tournament. All eight teams will face off against each other once in a round-robin format. The top four teams at the end of this stage will move to the playoffs - Qualifier 1, Qualifier 2, Eliminator, and the final.

TNPL 2025 Prize Money
The winners of the Tamil Nadu Premier League are awarded Rs 10 million. The runners-up receive Rs 6 million. The two semi-finalists are awarded Rs 4 million each with the remaining four teams receiving RS 2.5 million each.
