Brooklyn Peltz Beckham has launched a scathing attack on his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, for trying to undermine his marriage to Nicola Peltz Beckham. The claims were made in an Instagram statement posted on Jan 19.
"My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn't stopped," he started off in a long series of multiple posts.
Brooklyn said tensions escalated during preparations for the couple's 2022 wedding. He claimed Victoria initially planned to design Nicola's gown but pulled out at the last minute. “My mum cancelled making Nicola's dress in the eleventh hour… forcing her to urgently find a new dress,” he alleged. "During the wedding planning, my mum went so far as to call me 'evil' because Nicola and I chose to include my Nanny Sandra, and Nicola's Naunni at our table, because they both didn't have their husbands," he added.
He also accused his parents of pressuring him to sign away “the rights to my name” shortly before the ceremony. “Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name,” he wrote, saying it would have affected “me, my wife, and our future children”. He added, " They were adamant on me signing before my wedding date… My holdout affected the payday.”

Brooklyn said the conflict peaked at the wedding itself. He claimed that on the eve of the ceremony, members of his family told him Nicola was “not blood” and “not family”. He also alleged his mother derailed the couple's first dance. He wrote, "My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance, to a romantic love song. In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where, in the schedule, my romantic dance with my wife was scheduled, but instead, my mum was waiting to dance with me. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment."
Brooklyn also accused his family of sidelining Nicola and prioritising public image. “My wife has been consistently disrespected,” he wrote, alleging women from his past were brought into their lives “to make us both uncomfortable”. "My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we've tried to come together as one. My mum has repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable," he wrote.
He claimed he travelled to London for his father's birthday but was “rejected for a week”, and later told he could meet David only if Nicola was excluded: “It was a slap in the face.”
In one of his sharpest lines, Brooklyn argued that "Brand Beckham comes first”, claiming “family ‘love' is decided by how much you post on social media”.
He ended by rejecting suggestions that Nicola controls him. “The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards,” he wrote. "My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want is peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family," he concluded.
Representatives for David and Victoria Beckham have not publicly responded to the allegations
