Pakistan's innings got off to a blistering start, thanks to Fakhar Zaman, but Hardik Pandya broke the momentum by dismissing him. Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub then forged a solid 72-run partnership, anchoring the innings. However, India's Shivam Dube and Kuldeep Yadav struck back with crucial wickets.
Sahibzada Farhan's knock of 58 runs was a highlight, and the lower-order batters played a vital role in helping Pakistan post a competitive total. India's chances were hampered by Jasprit Bumrah's expensive spell and mainly four crucial dropped catches, which impacted their chances of restricting Pakistan's score.
India will be chasing a target as big as this (172) in this Asia Cup 2025.

Pakistan's batting performance saw significant improvement, with a strong start. India countered in the middle overs, but Pakistan's finishers stepped up in the final three overs, scoring 42 crucial runs.
India started with sloppy fielding including several dropped catches which cost them dearly, as Pakistan scored a bigger total than they might have otherwise achieved.
Wasim Akram on air says, "171 is the average winning score here in Dubai."
Faheem Ashraf smashes six to deep backward point at the end of the last ball of the innings.
With this Pakistan have put up a score of 171/5 in 20 overs. India needs 172 to win.
