There was a brief exchange of fire with a suspect at the Nagrota military station, the army has confirmed. The soldier who confronted the suspect sustained minor injuries. Search operations are underway.

India-Pakistan News Live: Repeated Ceasefire Violations By Pakistan, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri Says
There have been repeated violations of the ceasefire by Pakistan barely hours after an understanding was arrived at between the two countries, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said.
"This is a breach of the understanding arrived earlier today. The armed forces are giving an adequate and appropriate response to these violations and we take very serious notice of these violations," he said at an urgent briefing late night Saturday.
"We call upon Pakistan to take appropriate steps to address these violations and deal with the situation with seriousness and responsibility."
According to Misri, the armed forces are maintaining a strong vision on the situation. They have been given instructions to deal strongly with any instances of repetition of the violations of the border, along the international border as well as the Line of Control.
