Mining company Vedanta Ltd. is set to announce its results for the fourth quarter and financial year 2024-25 this week.
Vedanta's diverse portfolio includes businesses in oil and gas, zinc, lead, silver, aluminium, iron ore, steel, copper, nickel and power. Its business spans India, South Africa, Namibia and Liberia. According to its website, its economic contribution stands at around 1.4% of India's GDP.

In an exchange filing dated April 25, the company announced that a meeting of its Board of Directors is scheduled on April 30 to consider the audited financial results for the quarter and financial year ended March 31, 2025.
The filing did not mention if the Board will consider recommending a dividend for FY25.

As per SEBI rules to prevent insider trading, the trading window for dealing in securities of the company is closed for all designated persons from April 1 to May 2.

Vedanta reported a 76.2% rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 3,547 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 2,013 crore in Q3 FY24. Total income rose 9.6% year-on-year to Rs 39,795 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 36,320 crore in Q3 FY24. Total expenses rose 2.8% year-on-year to Rs 33,134 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 32,215 crore in Q3 FY24.
