Tata Motors Ltd.'s consolidated performance surprised positively with Ebitda margin at 12.5% (up 250 basis points QoQ). Chip supply issue at Jaguar Land Rover seems to be easing out as production grew 41% QoQ and is expected to gradually improve over 2022.
JLR order book stands at 155,000 units versus 125,000 units in Q2. It focused on pending bookings of Range Rover (wholesales up 30% QoQ) as deliveries of New Range Rover are expected to start in Q4.
For standalone operations, Tata Motors has been able to gain market share across segments; passenger vehicle market share at 12% versus 8% in FY21, commercial vehicle at 45.4% (up 300 bps from FY21) and electric vehicle at ~82%.
