Stock Market Highlights: Nifty, Sensex End Flat After Volatile Trade
On the NSE, nine out of the 15 sectors ended in red, with Nifty Media, FMCG and IT declining the most.

Indian benchmark equity indices closed with gains on Tuesday, led by share prices of Reliance Industries Ltd. and HDFC Bank Ltd.
The NSE Nifty 50 ended 24.75 points or 0.1% higher at 25,541.8, while the BSE Sensex closed 90.83 points or 0.11% up at 83,697.29. During the day, Nifty rose 0.30% to trade at 25,593.40 and Sensex gained 0.32% to 83,874.29.







Shares of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd., Bharat Electronics Ltd. and RIL were the top gainers in the Nifty.
While those of Nestle India Ltd., Axis Bank Ltd., Shriram Finance Ltd., and Trent Ltd. were among the biggest laggards.

In terms of points contribution, RIL and HDFC Bank were among stocks that led the gains in the Nifty
ICICI Bank and Axis Bank dragged the index the most.

On the NSE, nine out of the 15 sectors ended in red, with Nifty Media, FMCG and IT declining the most.

The broader market indices settled higher as the BSE MidCap and SmallCap both declined 0.06% and 0.17% respectively.
The market breadth was skewed in favour of the sellers as 1,971 stocks advanced, 2,030 declined and 152 remained unchanged on the BSE
