Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd.'s Q3 FY22 operating performance was in-line with consensus estimates as supply chain constraints hurt topline, even as battery electric vehicle revenues continue to see significant ramp-up.
The management expects an improvement in the supply chain situation to aid growth. The company continues to win new orders (four during the quarter) and has a strong order book of Rs 176 billion for the next 10 years.
We see Sona BLW as a direct play on global electrification in passenger vehicles and the rising share of e-two-wheeler/three-wheeler in India.
The opportunity size from differential assemblies and traction motors is expected to increase to $4.1 billion per annum by CY30 (from $105 million in CY20).
