FPIs Offload Equities Worth Rs 2,377 Crore

Foreign portfolio investors continued to remain net sellers of Indian equities for the 12th straight session on Friday as they net offloaded stocks worth Rs 2,377.3 crore.

Domestic institutional investors stayed net buyers for the 22nd straight session as they bought equities worth Rs 1,617.8 crore, according to provisional data from the National Stock Exchange.

On Thursday, the FPIs offloaded equities worth Rs 2,646.7 crore. In February, the FPIs net offloaded equities worth Rs 34,574 crore, according to the National Securities Depository Ltd.'s data.

This was preceded by net selling of Rs 78,027 crore in January. In 2025 so far, the overseas investors have net sold equities worth Rs 1.37 lakh crore, the NSDL data showed.

The benchmark equity indices closed flat on Friday, with the NSE Nifty 50 snapping its three-week rout and registering the best weekly gains in three months.

The Nifty ended 7.8 points or 0.03% higher at 22,552.5, while the BSE Sensex closed 7.51 points or 0.01% down at 74,332.58.
