BSE Q3 Results: Profit Rises 8%, Revenue Jumps 17%; Margin Contracts

The stock exchange logged a revenue of Rs 1,328 crore in the quarter ended Dec. 31.

BSE Ltd.'s net profit for the third quarter of FY26 rose 8% sequentially, according to an exchange filing on Monday. 

India's largest bourse registered its consolidated bottom line at Rs 601.8 crore, compared to Rs 558.43 crore in the previous  quarter. 

Revenue of the exchange also edged 16.4% higher at Rs 1,328 crore in the quarter ended Dec. 31, compared to Rs 1,068.39 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal. 

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation grew 13.9% to Rs 862 crore from Rs 757 crore, but margin narrowed to 62.5% from 64.7% in the previous quarter.

  • Net profit up 7.8% at Rs 602 crore versus Rs 558 crore
  • Revenue up 17.1% at Rs 1,328 crore versus Rs 1,134 crore
  • Ebitda up 13.9% at Rs 862 crore versus Rs 757 crore
  • Margin at 64.9% versus 66.7%

National Stock Exchange of India had also announced its quarterly results last week, with net profit rising almost 15% to  Rs 2,409 crore, compared to Rs 2,098 crore in the preceding September quarter.

The Mumbai-based stock exchange's revenue from operations in the third quarter of current fiscal rose 6.7% to Rs 3,925 crore, compared to Rs 3,677 crore in the preceding September quarter.

BSE Share Price

BSE stock rose as much as 3.48% during the day to Rs 2997.70 apiece on the NSE. It closed 3.07% higher at Rs 2,986 apiece, compared to an 0.68% advance in the benchmark Nifty 50 at close on Tuesday. It has risen 56.39% in the last 12 months.
