Dhurandhar's 'peak detailing', especially with the striking resemblance of reel and real characters, has seen a new turn now. Sanjay Dutt's portrayal as the Pakistani cop, Chaudhry Aslam, has connected profoundly with the audience. Now, the widow of Aslam has also praised the similarity between Sanjay Dutt's character and her husband.
In a recent podcast with Aaj Tak Radio, Noreen Aslam discussed Dhurandhar and the references to her husband following the film's release.
When asked about Dutt's resemblance to Aslam, Noreen said, "Sanjay Dutt's look/getup matched really well. For a moment, I felt as if it were actually Chaudhry. The moment when Sanjay Dutt is standing by the car and raises his eyes, that's the one."
"Besides that, the whole look and the entire set-up really suit him; there's no doubt about it. And his acting, too, he has done a very fine job."

Talking about the profanity, Noreen laughingly said, "There were a lot of profanities used, which I was quite disturbed by. In the police profession, such language might be common, but for a family, it is problematic. But for the person who played the role, Sanjay suited the part."
"He really put life into the character. The reality is the reality, and in that, the role was well-executed; some aspects matched, like his appearance and the way he looked in his eyes."
Moreover, Noreen also added that both Dutt and Aslam liked each other. In fact, she also said that she liked Dutt as an actor too.
Talking about the depth of Aslam's personality and his portrayal in the movie, she said, "If they were making a film, they could have at least called me, the police, or journalists to understand both his positive and negative sides. He fulfilled tasks that the rest of the police never could; they were on one side, and Chaudhry Aslam stood alone on the other."

She also mentioned that she only watched the film up until the scene with the blast.
Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge features Ranveer Singh as an Indian spy. It also stars Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, Rakesh Bedi as Jameel Jamali, and Dutt as SP Aslam.
With 15 days at the box office, Dhurandhar 2 has crossed Rs 1,100 crore in India's gross collections. Meanwhile, the overseas collection inches towards Rs 1,500 crore.
