The makers of Peddi gave fans a special birthday treat by releasing a new glimpse of Ram Charan as Peddi Pehelwan. The Hindi glimpse shows the actor in a powerful wrestler avatar, adding a new layer to the much-awaited pan-Indian film.

The glimpse highlights the intensity of wrestling. It begins with a strong voiceover: “Kusthi (wrestling) is not a sport where you carry a bat and face an oncoming ball. This is a sport where you pledge your life and stand against death. Now tell me, are you going to get into the ring or are you opting out?” In the end, Charan's character replies, “The game is my pride.”
Film Details and Star Cast
The film is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and marks his first collaboration with Ram Charan. It also stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead and Shiva Rajkumar in an important role. Other actors in the film include Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, and Boman Irani.

Story and Release Date
Peddi is set in 1980s Andhra Pradesh and tells the story of a villager who uses sports to bring his community together and fight against a powerful rival. The film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on Thursday, April 30, 2026, followed by the May 1 holiday, giving it the advantage of a long weekend to boost its box office run.
Minor Injury on Sets
Ram Charan recently suffered a minor eye injury while shooting an action scene. The makers assured fans, saying he is “absolutely fine,” underwent a small procedure, and will resume shooting without delays. He was later seen meeting fans with a bandage, smiling and appearing well.
