Hollywood actor John Krasinski has expressed his interest in watching Dhurandhar, the spy thriller starring Ranveer Singh. The Jack Ryan star spoke highly about Indian cinema during a recent interaction and admitted that filmmakers around the world are highly impressed with the movies being made in India.
This conversation marks the growing fanbase of the blockbuster film, not just in India, but also globally among the international stars.
John Krasinski On Dhurandhar
In an interview with NDTV, John Krasinski was asked if he had watched Dhurandhar, to which the Hollywood star revealed that he has yet to see the film but has expressed a strong interest in watching Ranveer Singh's spy thriller. He was also asked about his thoughts on Indian cinema.

He said, "I haven't seen the film. But as far as Indian films at large, some of the most cutting-edge movie-making that we have. I know a lot of my filmmaking friends who are out there trying to direct movies are constantly and consistently blown away by films coming out from over there."
The actor also expressed that he would "love" to watch the film if he gets the opportunity. "Of course. I love watching anything. It's always inspiring to see what everybody else is doing," he added.
In his film, 'Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War,' John Krasinski not only stars as the lead character but also serves as a co-producer and has co-written the story and screenplay of the film. While talking about how both spying and writing are solitary professions, John Krasinski said, "My process of writing... I have the luxury of working on different projects, worlds, and genres. I was probably writing this movie in my head when I was doing this movie with Guy Ritchie called Fountain of Youth."
He further shared that he was already thinking about Jack Ryan at the time. He explained that he tries to visualise the movie in his head every day and note it down. He added that once he can see the end credits rolling, he sits down to write the script.
Dhurandhar
Dhurandhar hit the screens on December 5, 2025, while its sequel, Dhurandhar 2, was released on March 19, 2026. The first part of the franchise grossed Rs 1,307 crore worldwide, while the sequel has already crossed Rs 1,798 crore at the global box office.
The spy thriller stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, a spy who takes up the alias name Hamza Ali Mazari.

Jack Ryan: Ghost War
Meanwhile, on the other side, John Krasinski has returned to the spy genre with his latest project, Jack Ryan: Ghost War, which released on Amazon Prime Video on May 20, 2026. John plays the role of the former Marine and CIA analyst who is forced back into the field for a mission.
