The makers of Dune: Part Three have unveiled the film's first look, sparking fresh excitement around the much-anticipated finale of Denis Villeneuve's epic sci-fi saga. The third instalment, based on Frank Herbert's 1969 novel Dune Messiah, is scheduled to release in theatres on December 18 and will go head-to-head with Avengers: Doomsday.
Timothée Chalamet, who returns as Paul Atreides, shared a glimpse from the film on Instagram while announcing that the official trailer will drop on March 18. The post quickly gained massive traction, collecting over 6 lakh likes within just a couple of hours. Fans were quick to react, with many expressing their eagerness to watch the film on the big screen.
The buzz wasn't limited to Instagram. The first look also went viral on X (formerly Twitter), where it clocked over 2.2 million views shortly after release. Social media users described the upcoming film as visually grand and emotionally intense, with several highlighting the presence of Jason Momoa and Florence Pugh as a major draw.

The story of Dune: Part Three continues from where the second film left off. In Dune: Part Two, Paul embraces his destiny among the Fremen on Arrakis, builds a relationship with Chani (Zendaya), defeats the Harkonnens, and sets a larger conflict into motion across the universe.
The previous film turned out to be both a commercial and critical success, earning more than $714 million (Rs 6,590 crore) globally and winning two Academy Awards. Work on the third part began soon after, with Villeneuve starting the script in December 2023. Composer Hans Zimmer had already begun early preparations in 2024, hinting at the long-term vision behind the trilogy.
Along with Chalamet, the film will feature returning actors such as Florence Pugh, Léa Seydoux, Anya Taylor-Joy, Josh Brolin, and Jason Momoa, all set to play more significant roles. Adding a new twist to the story, Robert Pattinson joins the cast as the antagonist Scytale.
