Audi Retail Sales Decline 14% In First Six Months To 2,128 Units
Luxury carmaker Audi on Tuesday said its half-yearly retail sales declined 14% year-on-year to 2,128 units.
The company sold 2,477 units in the January-June period of last year.
The brand with the four rings is facing headwinds as slowing demand — driven by price increases from a weakening exchange rate and heightened market uncertainty amid evolving geopolitical tensions — continues to impact performance, Audi India said in a statement.

The Indian auto sector is poised for acceleration, with innovators earnings the lion's share of growth, according to Deepak Shenoy, chief executive officer of Capitalmind Mutual Fund.
A general recovery in sales volumes have been particularly driven by higher disposable income due to revised tax slabs. The players who consistently redefine their offerings are set to capture the largest share of the upcoming demand, Shenoy said, during a televised interaction with NDTV Profit on Tuesday.
