Vacancies
The recruitment drive was launched for 28,636 GDS posts nationwide through different postal circles. Applications were accepted only through the online mode.
Candidates applying for the posts were required to have passed Class 10 and possess knowledge of the local language used in their postal region.
The age limit for applicants was 18 to 40 years. The cut-off date for age eligibility was February 16, 2026. Relaxations apply as per rules.
Timeline
The application process began on February 02, 2026, and closed on February 14, 2026. The second merit list was published on April 10, 2026.
Applicants from the General, OBC and EWS categories had to pay Rs 100 as the application fee. Candidates from SC, ST and PWD categories were exempt. Fees were payable online only.
